Sustainability Café on October 24th explores Eco-Art

The Sustainability Café on Monday, October 24th will feature Linda Weintraub, speaking on Ingenious Solutions: How To Sustain the Sustainable Artist.”  The Café will be held in Center for Natural Sciences Room 112 at 4:00PM.

 Linda Weintraub is a curator, educator, artist, and author of several popular books about contemporary art. She is currently writing the first college eco-art text book entitled “ECO ART: In Pursuit of a Sustainable Planet.” Weintraub established Artnow Publications in order to apply environmental standards to her books’ form, design, and production. Ms. Weintraub will speak about the breadth of eco-art and the inventiveness of eco-artists, presenting examples of artists who practice conservation, preservation, eco-feminism, and other aspects of eco-art.  

This event is free and open to the public.
