Arhlene Flowers Presents at Leading Public Relations Industry Conference

Arhlene Flowers, assistant professor of Integrated Marketing Communications, was invited to speak at the 2011 Public Relations Society of America Northeast District Conference held in Rochester on September 28. The theme of the conference was “Communicating Without Walls: How PR Is Influencing the Digital Landscape.” Her workshop presentation, “Upgrading Crisis Communications for the Digital Era,” reviewed social media case studies and solutions on how new technology can enhance crisis communications plans.

The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) is the world’s largest and foremost organization of public relations professionals. PRSA provides professional development, sets standards of excellence and upholds principles of ethics for its members and, more broadly, the multi-billion-dollar global public relations profession. PRSA also advocates for greater understanding and adoption of public relations services, and acts as one of the industry’s leading voices on the important business and professional issues of our time.
