Let’s be honest, you didn’t want to wear your shoes anyway. This Tuesday, Oct. 18, go barefoot while taking a stand against poverty!
Ithaca College’s TOMS shoe club is hosting our own Day Without Shoes. This Tuesday, October 18th, refrain from choosing what shoes to wear in the morning and experience a day in the life of thousands of children across the globe.
It may not be easy, but that’s why we’re doing it, and we need your help! Meet at the Campus Center main lobby barefoot at 12:05 if you want to join us in a quick walk around campus.
But wait! Remember to bring an extra pair of slip on shoes with you if you plan on eating: The New York State Health Department requires shoes to be worn in all areas that serve food (snack bar, dining halls, all retail outlets). Any retail or dining location would have to deny you access to food if you are barefoot. Please be understanding because employees are required to strictly enforce these policies.
