Have you wanted to get tested for HIV but never knew how, or where to go? The Center for Health Promotion will be sponsoring FREE HIV testing conducted by the NYS Health Department right here on the Ithaca campus on Friday, October 28. You can make an appointment for the morning, or just walk-in during the afternoon.

When: Friday, Oct. 28, 2011
Time: 10:00 a.m.-2:30p.m.
Where: Center for Health Promotion- Lower Level, Hammond Health Center (down the hallway from CAPS, in the Office of Counseling and Wellness)
10:00 a.m. - Noon: Appointments only! To make an appointment, call the Office of Counseling & Wellness at (607) 274-3136. There are only 12 appointment slots available, so call TODAY! Appointments are anonymous, so you have the option to use a pseudonym (made-up name).
12:30 - 2:30 pm: Just walk-in! First come, first served. The Center for Health Promotion Resource Room will be the sign-up location for walk-ins. Sign ups start at noon! If slots are filled and you cannot be tested, you will receive information on other testing options (at Hammond Health Center and downtown).
This will be anonymous testing by the NYS Health Department. The testers are coming from Syracuse. You can use a pseudonym (fake name) when you sign up. The tester will give you a number. Real names are not used. You will get your results in the same appointment, within 20 minutes. Be proactive about your health!
