Chip Aquadro, Cornell University
Prof. Chip Aquadro, who directs the Cornell Genetic Ancestry Project, will discuss engaging students from across campus to analyze their DNA to reveal their personal genetic ancestry. Are 200 Cornell undergrads as diverse genetically as 200 individuals sampled at a street fair in Queens, NY? Prof. Aquadro will also describe how he has expanded on this effort and developed a new course on Personal Genomics and Medicine for freshman and sophomores from diverse disciplines across campus.
