Gossa Tsegaye, assistant professor in the Department of Television-Radio, will talk about his one-hour documentary, "Porch Fest: Celebrating the spirit of a community through Music" on Thursday, November 3 at 12:05 p.m. in the Park Hall Auditorium. His project was a one-day shoot on a shoe-string budget. Using Park School Students as assistants (Stacey Lawrence, Sarah Furie, Victoria Grace, Matt Walker, Ben Ratner, Shawn Steiner, Emily Junge, and Jackie Green), Tsegaye filmed the local music festival in which bands use downtown porches instead of traditional stages.
Tsegaye will also discuss scouting locations, crew selection and editing.
