Healthy Living for Musicians: Caring for the Singer's Voice
Tuesday, November 1 @ 6:15pm, Hockett Family Recital Hall
On the second Tuesday of each academic block, the School of Music offers Healthy Living for Musicians sessions in partnership with the Ithaca College Office of Counseling
and Psychological Services. School of Music students are encouraged to participate in
these sessions to establish a healthy body, mind, and soul, which are a foundation to a
happy and successful career. Recital attendance credit is given at each session.
All majors are welcome. No pre-registration is required.
Dr. Sadhana Nayak is a Mumbai, India based vocal arts medicine specialist/laryngologist specializing in ‘Enhancement, Care & Rehabilitation of The Professional & Performance Voice’. Dr. Nayak has the unique distinction of training in various disciplines related to the voice viz. laryngology, voice coaching, and performance psychology and has developed an eclectic and holistic approach to the voice. She is currently at NYU Tisch as Fulbright visiting faculty for the fall semester. This workshop is free and open to the public.
