IC Human Rights presents hip hop and spoken word concert F to (e)Mbody, a campus touring performance created with the goal of bringing trans-art and visibility to college campuses.

The performance is on Wednesday, November 16 at 8 p.m. in Emerson Suites (doors open 7:30), and is free and open to the public.

F to (e)Mbody features Athens Boys Choir and Katastrophe, two transexual artists who are pioneers in gender expression and reconstruction through hip hop and spoken word.

Athens Boys Choir: From Athens, GA. A gender-deviant, multi-media, spoken word/homo-hop extravaganza.

Katastrophe: From San Francisco, CA. A genre-busting, emo-hop mc, whose stunning lyrical skills merge with beats that slide from slick to raw to solid to eccentric.

Both artists have hit the stage with such notable artists as The Gossip, Ani Difranco, Saul Williams, Aliz Olson, Le Tigre, The Indigo Girls and Poets from HBO’s Def Poetry Jam.
