Winter in the Finger Lakes is fantastic for spending time outdoors, and Winter Sentinels is a great opportunity for you to advance your fire making skills, learn how to make natural rope, expand your tree identification skills, gain experience with medicinal plants or put your tracking skills to the test.
If you loved Sentinels and want to advance knowledge you may already have, or want to learn some key winter survival skills, then this class is for you. As a 200-level course, Winter Sentinels can be applied to an ENVS Concentration, but don't be intimidated, even if you aren't an ENVS major, you too can take the Winter Sentinels course and experience the Finger Lakes in a whole new way.
Because of the winter session format, the homework will be completely different and much less. In the past when we have had enough students to run the class, it has been a great success.
Call Jason Hamilton at (607) 274-1439 or Carol Hansen at (607) 274-1822 today to register! Course runs from January 9th through January 20th.
