Need to get rid of some stuff at home? Donate it to the Take It Or Leave It Gift Swap!

Once again, ICES (the IC Environmental Society) and REMP (the Resource and Environmental Management Program) present the TIOLI Sustainable Gift Swap, a free swap event geared towards reducing waste and consumption.

If you have stuff cluttering your house or old clothes you don’t want anymore, bring it back from Thanksgiving break and swap it for something for your friends and family. Donate your gently used clothes, gifts, school supplies, kitchen supplies, books, movies, etc. to the gift swap before you go home for winter break and avoid sending it to the landfill. If you don’t want to hold onto it in your room until the swap, bring it to the TIOLI room (hours here).

The swap will be held on Thursday, December 8 from 8am-5pm in Emerson Suite B. There will also be food (including vegan hot chocolate!) and fun activities, such as face painting, music, hula hooping, a ukelele learning station, and more. We will also be raffling off sustainable items and a $20 gift certificate to Collegetown Bagels. It is completely free and open to the public!
