If you haven't gotten the chance to sign up for a Habitat winter break trip, there is still a chance to! IC Habitat is having 2 winter break trips from January 14th-21st to Statesville, NC and Sea Island, SC. There are spots left for non-drivers to Sea Island and spots left for drivers to Statesville.
Whether you are already involved with Habitat or are looking to get involved, break trips are the perfect way to kick start your involvement with Habitat. On each trip, we drive down south to help work on a house for an entire week! You'll get a chance to make a real impact on the house that you're building, meet the future owner of the house, and enjoy some southern hospitality.
We have 2 trips this year: Statesville, NC, and Sea Island, SC. There is room for drivers only left for Statesville, NC, and room for non-drivers for Sea Island, NC. Here is some more info:
Dates: January 14th-January 21st
Cost: Statesville, North Carolina (drivers only)- $175 and Sea Island, South Carolina (non-drivers only)- $225
Prices include all travel, housing, and food while in the locations.
In order to be a driver, you need to be at least 21 and take an Ithaca College drivers safety course. There are still courses left, so don't worry if you haven't taken one yet!
