Musical Theatre Workshop Performance

12/12/11

Contributed by Joel Gelpe

The Musical Theatre Class of 2012 is proud to present their end-of-the-semester performance this Friday, December 16, at 1:30 PM in the Clark Theatre, Dillingham Center.

The program will include contemporary musical theatre and cabaret songs written since 2005. These songs, by both emerging and established song writers, are edgy, funny and touching. Also on the program are close-harmony vocal jazz trios and quartets, including the Lambert, Hendricks and Ross version of Duke Elliington's "Cottontail," the evocative "Harlem Nocturne," and The Manhattan Transfer's arrangements of "A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square" and Woody Herman's "Four Brothers."

At the piano will be principal instructor Joel Gelpe and grad students Ilana Atkins and Emily Goldman.

Admission is free and open to the campus community.

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Joel Gelpe at jgelpe@ithaca.edu or (607) 274-3588. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
