Due to the growing popularity of this event, the Mayor's keynote address for MLK Week will now be held in Hoerner Theater in Dillingham.
Mayor Svante Myrick will speak on the MLK Week theme, A New Definition of Greatness. This event, which will take place on Wednesday, January 25 at 7:00pm, is open to the IC community as well as the Ithaca Community. On Thursday, January 26, during the noon hour, Mayor Myrick will host a town-hall-style event titled 'A Conversation with the Mayor' in Textor 102.

The MLK Week planning committee has put together a week of great events surrounding the 2012 MLK Week theme: A New Definition of Greatness.
“If you want to be great – wonderful. But recognize that he who is greatest among you shall be your servant. That’s a new definition of greatness…it means that everybody can be great, because everybody can serve.” - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., from the “Drum Major Instinct" sermon, given on February 4, 1968
