Do you want to inspire others to get involved in your campaign or cause? Alumnus Will Mathewson, Green Corps Field Organizer, will conduct a free half-day training workshop on Grassroots Organizing. This workshop will be held on Saturday, January 28th, from 12:30PM – 4:00PM in the Clark Lounge in the Campus Center.
Each year, Green Corps field representatives visit dozens of college campuses across the country and conduct trainings in the basics of grassroots organizing. These training workshops are a great way to expose participants to the basics of running and winning environmental campaigns.
In this half-day workshop, you will learn principles and tips on how to craft a compelling campaign story that will recruit and activate others. You will learn how to develop and communicate campaign messaging, recruit and manage volunteers, run effective meetings, attract media attention, and more!
Refreshments will be served. Participation in this training workshop is free, but pre-registration is required. Seating is limited to the first 20 signups. REGISTRATION IS CLOSED.
Green Corps is a non-profit that hires almost three dozen recent college graduates each year for a one-year paid training program in environmental organizing. Green Corps develops organizers with the skills, temperament, and desire to run and win environmental campaigns addressing the most pressing environmental problems – from global warming and clean energy issues, to stopping corporations from abusing our natural resources like clean water.
