On behalf of the entire campus community, I would like to extend our heartfelt sympathies and prayers to the family, friends, and colleagues of Ithaca Fund director David Wilkins, who passed away unexpectedly this past Friday at the age of 48. David had led the college’s annual giving program in the Division of Institutional Advancement since 2009. He was a wonderful colleague and we will miss him very much.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, Jan. 20, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Saint Michael’s Catholic Church in Penn Yan, with a Mass of Christian Burial to immediately follow.
Prior to joining Ithaca College, David worked in development at Elmira College and had a distinguished career in national sales and marketing for corporations including Polaroid, Sunbeam, and Procter & Gamble. He earned his bachelor’s degree in English and political science from Hobart College.
Survivors include his wife, Amy; sons Daniel, Ryan, and Nick and daughters Susanna and Holly; brothers Richard and Christopher; sister, Susan; and mother, Marie. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Autism Speaks.
A complete obituary can be found in the Elmira Star-Gazette.
