For the second year, Ithaca College’s Athletic Training Education Program (ATEP) hosted student interns from Dublin City University, Dublin, Ireland.

Dublin City University seniors Elsa Hogan O’Regan and Alison Clarke were assigned to work with our football team. After pre-season and the first home football game, they rotated to women’s (Elsa) and men's (Alison) soccer for four weeks, then briefly to the A&E Center’s athletic training room. They returned to football for the final three home games. Elsa and Alison's final month at Ithaca College was spent back at the A&E Center’s athletic training room. The primary teams working out of this facility were field hockey, swimming, and indoor track and field.

During their down time Elsa and Alison were able to travel some in the United States and enjoy the social life in, and around, Ithaca.

Having Elsa and Alison at Ithaca College for the fall 2011 semester was a great experience for them, as well as the faculty and students in our Athletic Training Education Program. We look forward to continuing the relationship with Dublin City University in the future.
