The Office of Student Engagement and Multicultural Affairs (OSEMA) is looking for two faculty OR staff members at IC to run separate Alternative Spring Break Service trips to Joplin, Missouri, and Salamanca, New York, respectively.

The Alternative Spring Break Program gives students the opportunity to engage in direct service at a variety of locations around the United States during their spring break time. Each trip is chaperoned by a staff or faculty member who oversees these basic duties:

- Assure that students arrive and depart from locations safely

- Assure that appropriate behavior is observed by students at all times on the trip

- Assist with driving to and from the host site locations

- Help facilitate reflection sessions with the students

- Manage expenses while on the trip

- Join in on the service!!

Past trip advisers have commented on how impactful their experience has been working with students in this setting.

Finally, trip advisers are not responsible for paying any fees for participation - it comes completely free to them as a result of the service they provide.
