Janet Galvan conducted the North Carolina All-State Women's Chorus on the weekend of January 27-28. Her program, entitled "Still I Rise" featured works by three female composers, a selection from Pergolesi's "stabat mater," and a world premiere if Hack Jarrett's "hist whist," commissioned for the event.
