The School of Business is hosting a campus-wide, team-based, funded Sustainability Case Competition this Spring, where one team can walk away with $5,000.
The not-for-profit Challenge organization came to the Business School with a business opportunity focused on recycling electronics, an issue of importance to the organization and also in the global marketplace.
Student teams competing in this initiative will research, analyze and make recommendations to the Challenge organization, a local not-for-profit, to help the organization make an important business decision. Teams will work over a period of eight weeks, turning in written recommendations. The top five teams will then make oral presentations to a panel of judges.
Open to juniors, seniors, MBA/MBA-PA students, and sophomores with special permission, teams can compete to win $5,000, $3,500, or $1,500. The competition is open to all Ithaca College students, but at least one member from each team must be a School of Business student. The overall goal is for students to learn about how sustainability issues impact the real world, locally and globally.
Two information sessions are scheduled for Thursday, February 9th. Join us at:
