The Ithaca College United Way is starting the semester off strong by once again coordinating the annual Family Carnival. The carnival is a hugely popular event where members of the Ithaca community are invited to bring their families to campus and enjoy a night of arts, crafts, food, and fun. This year's carnival will be held on Friday, April 20 from 5:30pm-8:30pm. We're looking for a team of student volunteers to pitch in and help make this year's event the most successful Family Carnival ever! Kids and their families always look forward to this event, at which they can race their friends on the inflatable obstacle course, get their faces painted by IC students, and marvel at the various student performance groups who lend their talents for the night.

If you want to help out, come to our first planning meeting of the semester on Tuesday,February 7 at 12:15 pm iWilliams 211. We'll be talking about the work we need to do before the event and exploring the ways in which the Ithaca College United Way can better connect the campus to the local community. If you have any questions about the Ithaca College United Way or the opportunity to help plan the Family Carnival, contact Karlem Sivira at ksivira1@ithaca.edu.
