2011 Faculty Survey on Instructional Technology Report Available

The 2011 Faculty Survey on Instructional Technology was sent out to 660 faculty members at Ithaca College to assess the current use and perceptions of instructional technologies, their current and future technology needs, and the barriers and motivators to using these technologies. See the reports published last fall containing analyses of the 223 responses.

ITS sponsored the survey with statistical analysis by Institutional Research.  Many thanks to the faculty and instructors who took the time to respond.

Some of the results indicate:

• What are the top 5 teaching goals?
• What are the top motivators and barriers?
• What are the most frequently used technologies?
• What were the most important classroom technologies?
• How many respondents have taught online?
• Is there a relationship between technology adoption and age?
• What are the faculty's perception on students' technology skills and needs?

There are also many revealing open text comments.
