Professor Janice Levy's photographs were featured in a 30-page book, published to showcase artist Genevieve Prillaman's sculpture, Monument pour la Paix - Peace Monument.
Levy met the Prillaman in July 2011 shortly after leaving Saudi Arabia where she had spent her sabbatical year from IC teaching photography. Themes of peace, freedom, and the struggles of people both united and displaced by individual and global causes were fresh in her mind. For Levy, Prillaman’s arresting sculpture captured both the futility and hope of those engaged in the march for universal peace. She was compelled to photograph it.
The book will be used my Prillaman to market her work.
