Ithaca College's first annual Palestinian Environmental Film Festival will debut with the film Little Town of Bethlehem on March 22, 2012 at 7pm in Williams 232. Samantha Lowe, Dana intern and student director of PEFF, urges faculty and students to take advantage of this unusual opportunity.
Little Town of Bethlehem, a documentary film, follows the stories of three men of three different faiths in Israel and Palestine. The film explores each man’s choice of nonviolent action within a political context marked by overwhelming violence.
PEFF is a multi-disciplinary festival that incorporates approaches to research and analysis used by departments across campus. The eight films and two multi-media presentations will draw on multiple disciplines, including International Studies, Anthropology, Sustainability, Health Promotions, Health Care Management, Health Sciences, Psychology, Sociology, Journalism, and Documentary Studies.
