IC Teatro Presents Telefono

03/20/12

Contributed by Annette Levine

Friday March 23   4:30 pm

Studio 2 - Dillingham

The government is watching you. Your daily life seems ordinary, but people are disappearing around you without any explanation.

The phone rings and you pick up—no one is on the line.

It was the late 1970s during Argentina’s military dictatorship, known to some as the “Dirty War.” It was a time of state terrorism, censorship and Los Desaparecidos—the disappeared.

Watch as Amalia and Pedro attempt to lead their lives during this repressive and unstable time.
