Join IC Natural Lands stewards and members of the IC community this Saturday, 3/24/12, at 12:30pm to walk with senior Jeff Hatzel through South Hill Natural Area and learn more about his research on reintroducing the American Chestnut. We will meet at the Natural Lands Kiosk behind Terrace 10.
Jeff has been planting American Chestnut trees on South Hill for much of his time while attending IC and has had a lot of success in the reintroduction. He will show us his test plots and share with us some of the history of the species and the results of his research.
