The Ithaca College chapter of the American Marketing Association (ICAMA) received numerous honors at the 34th Annual Intercollegiate Conference in New Orleans, April 22-24.
Solidifying its position as one of the premier national chapters, ICAMA received a Bronze award for Outstanding Chapter. The award signifies outstanding performance in all functional areas, including planning, professional development, community service, fundraising, membership, and communications. This year’s Bronze award reflects an overall standing among the top twelve chapters nationwide.
ICAMA also received a 3rd Place award for its Membership Recruitment Campaign (congratulations to Membership VP Katherine Bowen ‘12) and an Honorable Mention, signifying top ten status, for its website (congratulations to Communications VP Rachel Gropper ‘14). ICAMA also won several awards in the AMA Saves Lives competition promoting organ donation. In social media categories, the chapter won 1st place for number of video views (39,000) and 2nd for number of videos in the Spring and 5th and 4th, respectively, in the two competitions in the Fall. ICAMA also received an Honorable Mention in the AMA Saves Lives Event Competition. Kudos once again to Rachel for her outstanding work on AMA Saves Lives.
In addition, co-Presidents Jayme Bednarski ‘12 and Jake Tenenbaum ‘12 presented at a session on chapter planning and Finance VP Maria Psathas ‘12 and Fundraising VP Alyssa Weinberg ‘12 presented at a session on fundraising. The entire AMA Executive Board was chosen to present with AMA contributor Jim Reed at his high-profile keynote on team-building (all those named already plus Professional Development VP Alyssa Ross ‘12, Advertising/Graphic Design VP Carolyn Cox ‘12, Community Service VP Shayna Dunitz ’13, and Marketing Research VP Taylor O’Hare ’13). Shayna and Taylor, incoming co-Presidents for 2012/2013 will look to continue this strong, consistent record of high-level performance.
