That's right: Acahti Players is hosting Mid-Semester Auditions on Wednesday, April 4, from 8- 10 pm in Friends 201. We're looking to take 1-2 new members to perform with us at our last show of the semester in May and to stay on with the group in the fall!
Audition FAQs:
Do I need to prepare anything?
Nope. Just come with your A games.
What will happen during the audition?
We'll start off with playing some shortform improv games, and then try longform in small groups so that we can get a sense of how you play with the group.
Do I need to know how to play the games?
Nope! We'll explain them before we play.
Do I need to know how to longform?!
Nope! If you do want to learn a bit about longform before you come to audition, here is a helpful resource: http://washingtonimprovtheater.com/pages.php?pageName=what-is
Do I need improv experience?
Absolutely not. Of course, experience is helpful, but even if you've never played before, we'd love to see you come out and audition.
If I do get in, what kind of commitment is required?
Acahti players meets on Wednesday nights from 10-12 pm, and Sunday afternoons from 4-6 pm. If you can't make those times this semester, we'd be happy to see you audition in the fall!
