The Handwerker Gallery is pleased to announce that Nigerian artist, Marcia Kure, will deliver a talk entitled “So Far” on Wednesday, April 4, at 6.00 p.m..
Kure’s talk will discuss her current studio practice, which examines the historical, political and emotional conversations between the body and clothing. She will also explain how her work approaches global issues, while still maintaining her individuality as an artist. Marcia Kure's work is included in the current student-curated exhibition, Voices: Truth, Identity, and Art in Africa, on view at the Handwerker Gallery through April 5.
All Handwerker Gallery events are free and open to the public. Gallery hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 10 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.; Thursday, 10.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m.; and weekends, noon to 5.00 p.m..
