This Wednesday, April 17th, at 8 PM in Textor 101, IC Students for Sensible Drug Policy and Ithaca College Environmental Society will be screening "Bringing It Home" followed by presentations from the CEO of Dr. Bronner's Soap and Dr. Netravali from Cornell University on the many uses of industrial hemp.
The event will begin with an abridged screening of the upcoming documentary Bringing It Home, which focuses on the potential that hemp has in construction. Included in our discussion after the screening will be a presentation delivered by David Bronner, CEO of Dr. Bronner’s Magic Soap via video conference and Dr. Anil Netravali, a professor of fiber science within the College of Human Ecology at Cornell University.
Dr. Netravali’s primary field of study is fiber-reinforced composites, with a focus on sustainable, biodegradable alternatives to petroleum based composites which are most prevalent today. Dr. Bronner’s soap is arguably the most popular hemp product on the market today, and David Bronner is a reputable source of knowledge about hemp products and business.
