Park School Dean Diane Gayeski recently gave two presentations to professional associations on new communication and learning strategies for Millennials, highlighting innovative practices in place at Ithaca College.
Gayeski led a national webinar for corporate communications executives sponsored by the Communications Leadership Exchange on the topic of accommodation of physical, learning, and psychological disabilities. She shared best practices implemented by institutions like Ithaca College to support young people with communication and learning challenges, and discussed with participants how they can apply this to their own work with employees and external audiences who will rightfully expect similar accommodations.
The National Human Services Assembly also hosted Dean Gayeski as their keynote speaker for their annual meeting in New York City. Her presentation, "Learning 3.0", highlighted the ways in which the Park School uses new media in recruiting, informing, and supporting instruction for our students, and proposed ways that participants could leverage these ideas to attract and retain talented Millennials.
