Students and their families are invited to the Commencement Eve Concert on Saturday, May 19, at 8:30 p.m. in Ben Light Gymnasium. Admission is free.

Directed by award-winning composer and Professor Dana Wilson, this year's theme is "Am I because we are?" and features performances by the Ithaca College Symphony Orchestra, Choir, Ragtime Marimba Band, Jazz Ensemble, and several soloists.  The presentation features a unique “kaleidoscope” format that will give listeners nearly an hour of continuous, exciting music.

If you prefer to avoid the packed house and traffic of this popular concert, you and your family and friends are welcome to attend the dress rehearsal on the previous evening, Friday, May 18, at 8:30 p.m. The dress rehearsal is a polished performance that is attended each year by hundreds of people, and provides a wonderful opportunity to experience the concert in a more relaxed setting. Community members are encouraged to attend this Friday evening concert.

Following the Saturday night concert, all are invited to close the evening with refreshments on the Academic Quad from 9:30 to 10:30 p.m., as well as a fireworks display.

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact the School of Music at 607-274-3169. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
