Asma Barlas, Director of CSCRE, Keynote Speaker

Asma Barlas, professor and director of the Center for the Study of Culture, Race, and Ethnicity, gave an invited keynote on "Islam, Feminism, and Secular Democracy: Uncrossed Bridges," at the Istanbul Seminars on May 21st.  The Seminars are organized yearly in Turkey by the Italian organization Reset Doc and Bilgi University, and this year's theme was "The Promises of Democracy."
