At its May meeting, the Ithaca College Board of Trustees granted promotions to eight faculty members.
The following faculty member was promoted from clinical associate professor to clinical full professor:
Department of Physical Therapy
• Barbara Belyea, who received her D.P.T. from the University of Montana and her M.S. and B.S. from Ithaca College.
The following faculty members were promoted from associate professor to full professor:
Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies
• Linda Heyne, who received her Ph.D. and M.A. from the University of Minnesota and her B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
Department of Physical Therapy
• Jeffery Houck, who received his Ph.D. and M.A. from the University of Iowa and his B.S. from Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia.
Department of Music Theory, History, and Composition
• Timothy Johnson, who received his Ph.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo, M.M. from the University of Connecticut and B.M. from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell.
Department of Performance Studies
• Deborah Martin, who received her D.M. and M.M. from Indiana University, Bloomington, and B.M. from Baylor University.
Department of Art History
• Lauren O’Connell, who received her Ph.D. and M.A. from Cornell University and her B.A. from the University of Maryland.
Department of Biology
• Andrew Smith, who received his Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and his A.B. from Dartmouth College.
The following faculty member was promoted from instructor to assistant professor:

• Christopher Pelchat, who received his Ph.D. from the University of Idaho and his M.Ed. and B.A. from Eastern Washington University.
