Asma Barlas, professor and director, Center for the Study of Culture, Race, and Ethnicity gave two invited presentations in Melbourne, Australia.
On June 12, she spoke at the Melbourne Law School on "Islamic Scripture, Law, and Muslim Women's Rights," and on June 16th, she gave a keynote as part of the Wheeler Center's "Faith and Culture Series" curated by the celebrated moral philosopher, Raimond Gaita. Her paper was titled "Thinking of Muslims in 'Morally Relevant Ways.'"
