Jemian was one of nearly 130 music specialists drawn from university faculties and high school AP Music Theory teachers to score this year’s exam.  Approximately 19,000 high school students across the U.S.A. took the exam this year—a record-breaking number.

This is the second year that Dr. Jemian has led the training for the more challenging sight singing question.  She trained 21 music professionals to score this question with consistently accurate results.  Then, those 22 people spent a week listening to and scoring individual recordings of that melody.  The reading took place in Cincinnati, OH in mid-June.
