A national search was conducted this past spring semester to fill the Director of Health Services position.
I am excited to announce that Dr. Justine Schaff has accepted our offer to serve as the next Director of Health Services at Ithaca College. Justine comes to us as an attending physician in Emergency Medicine at Cayuga Medical Center, where she has also served as Assistant Medical Director at a previous period in her work history. Justine is highly respected within the local medical community and comes with glowing recommendations. I am very excited about Justine’s clinical, interpersonal and leadership skills and believe that she will be a great addition to the College. Justine began working at the Health Center on July 23rd on a part-time basis, and will assume full-time responsibilities starting August 20, 2012.
Justine is replacing Dr. Erin Hall-Rhoades, who is stepping down from the position of Interim Director of Health Services at the end of July. Erin is making a move for family reasons and has accepted the position of Director of Health Services at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Erin has been at Ithaca College since 2007 as Assistant Director of Health Services for 4 years, and as interim director for the past year. Erin has excelled in her roles and responsibilities, and did a tremendous job providing leadership for the Health Center during this past year of transition. I want to take this opportunity to thank Erin for all of her contributions to the Health Center and the College and to wish her well in the next step in her journey.
