I am sorry to share some sad news with you. Judy Schapiro Dietz, Jerry Dietz's wife, passed away Monday, September 17. She was 58 years old.
Judy's funeral will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Temple Beth-El, 402 North Tioga Street, in Ithaca. Interment will immediately follow at Lakeview Cemetery, 605 East Shore Drive, also in Ithaca.
Judy and Jerry both graduated from Ithaca College, Jerry in 1975, Judy in 1976. They met while at IC and were married for 34 years. Their son, Robert, is also an IC alumnus, class of 2010.
Through the years, Judy and Jerry were active IC alumni and proud IC parents. Most recently, they provided tremendous support to the effort to build the Robert B. Tallman Rowing Center, and Jerry served as the chair of the boathouse advisory committee.
