With the creation of the new Transmedia Studio, a co-curricular organization that mirrors the structure of the school’s award-winning student television, radio and newspaper operations; three staff members will take on increased roles within the Roy H. Park School of Communications.
Carol Jennings will continue as Director of the Park Media Lab, which includes Park Productions, and will also be overseeing the new Transmedia Studio for the Park School. During this fall semester, she and a small team of students, alumni, and professional consultants will create a handbook and organizational structure; the studio will be operational starting in the spring 2013 semester. Jennings holds an MA in Cinema Studies and an MFA in Film & Television Production from New York University.
Beginning in January of 2013, Chris Wheatley will assume the management duties of ICTV, while continuing to manage Radio Operations. His new title will be Manager of TV and Radio Operations. Wheatley has been Manager of Radio Operations at the college since 1985 and holds bachelors and masters degrees from Ithaca College.
Paul Stanion will also see expanded responsibilities, in overseeing technical operations for ICTV. Paul has been with the Park School since 1997, currently filling the role of Studio Manager. Stanion has a Video and Film degree from Full Sail Center for the Recording Arts, a Broadcast Engineering degree from Cleveland Institute for Electronics. Stanion is also recognized as a Society of Broadcast Engineers Certified Video Engineer (CVE).
