Jazz musician Jennifer Leitham and filmmaker Andrea Meyerson will be on campus to introduce a screening of I Stand Corrected on Wednesday October 3 at 7 pm in Textor 101. I Stand Corrected is the true story of jazz bass virtuoso, Jennifer Leitham, formerly known as John Leitham, who risked everything when she transitioned publicly during the height of her career in order to be her true self.
There will also be a reception with refreshments on Thursday October 4 from 5:30-7:30 pm in Klingenstein Lounge, Campus Center, which will provide an opportunity to meet Meyerson and Leitham in a more informal setting.

The film has received many awards, including"Audience Favorite for Best Film," American Documentary Film Festival; "Audience Choice for Best Documentary Feature," Translations: The Seattle Transgender Film Festival, and "Audience Award for Outstanding Documentary Feature," Outfest: LA Gay & Lesbian Film Festival.
