Mark your calendars!  The members of the Ithaca College’s Toastmasters Club would like to invite everyone in the IC Community and Longview to a very special event on Wednesday, November 7 at Emerson Suites.  From 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM, we will be celebrating the Ithaca College Toastmasters Club’s 10th Anniversary!

For a decade, the College’s Toastmasters Club has been helping members of the IC Community become more confident public speakers and effective leaders.  Our learn-by-doing program is what makes the Toastmasters program so successful and popular on campus as well as world-wide.

Our program will include:

•          Continental breakfast

•          Presentations on the history of the Ithaca College Toastmasters

•          A supervisor and supervisee testimonial

•          An inaugural presentation of the Ithaca College Toastmasters Polished Apple Award.  The recipient of this award exemplifies the mission of Toastmasters International which is to help "men and women learn the arts of speaking, listening and thinking" and also demonstrates adherence to Toastmasters International's core values of "integrity, dedication to excellence, service to the member, and respect for the individual."

•         A brief keynote address by our award winner

Please look for next week’s Intercom announcement about who will be accepting this very special award.  You will be delightfully surprised and won’t want to miss their presentation!

If you plan to attend this event, please RSVP to Shelli Mekos at mmekos@ithaca.edu or call 607-274-3118 by October 26.  The Ithaca College’s Toastmasters Club is supported by the Ithaca College Office of Human Resources and the Office of Career Services.

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should email Heather Schuck at hschuck@ithaca.edu or call 274-3313.  We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
