The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra opens its 2012-13 three-concert series in Ford Hall on October 5 at 7:30 PM with its music director, Arild Remmereit, and Grammy-winning violinist James Ehnes.
The program celebrates the RPO's 90th season with music from its first—Howard Hanson's "Nordic" Symphony No. 1 (premiered by the RPO in 1923). In addition, Grammy-winning violinist James Ehnes plays a concerto by Korngold, known for Golden-age film scores such as The Adventures of Robin Hood.
Tickets are $20—but free for all Ithaca College students through the Student Rush Ticket Program.

Ithaca College Student Rush Ticketing
Through partnering with Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO), Ithaca College students will be able to attend all RPO concerts held in Ford Hall at no cost. Students should stand in line outside of the house left entrance to Ford Hall before each concert and have their Ithaca College Student ID available upon request.
Five minutes before the concert, ushers will seat students in available seats throughout the house. Seats will be available at a first come, first served basis, but every effort will be made to seat as many students as possible. In the occasion that a ticket holder arrives, the student sitting in the ticket holder’s assigned seat should find the nearest usher in order to be reseated.
Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodation should contact the School of Music at 607-274-3717.
