DiEugenio performed the monumental Bach Chaconne and presented a masterclass for music students at the University of Virginia in historic Old Cabell Hall in Charlottesville, VA on Friday, September 21. He also delivered a pre-concert lecture on the Concord Sonata of American composer Charles Ives, as part of the 13th Annual Charlottesville Chamber Music Festival, held at the University of Virginia on Sunday, September 23rd.
In August, DiEugenio spent one week teaching and performing in Beijing, China, under the auspices of the U.S. Schools of Music International Violin and Piano Festival. Along with Piano Professor Charis Dimaras, DiEugenio represented the Ithaca College School of Music among a group comprising professors from the San Francisco Conservatory, Boston University, NYU Steinhardt School of Music, and Oberlin Conservatory.
Professor DiEugenio performed in the Beijing Concert Hall on August 17th with IC colleague Dr. Charis Dimaras; the most recent September 17th Ithaca College Faculty Showcase performances of Professor DiEugenio and IC piano professor Dr. Nathan Hess may also be viewed in China and anywhere else around the globe via the Ithaca College on-demand web streaming.
