Submitted on behalf of Courtney Brown, Communications Chairperson for Student Government Association.
Do you support getting mental health counseling? Many don’t. And some don’t get help because they think their friends would judge them. Well, the Center for Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), Active Minds and the Student Government Association are teaming up to stomp out the stigma about going to counseling by making a video!
We want you (students, staff and faculty) to join our efforts of stomping out the stigma. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been to CAPS, know someone who has been to CAPS, or you simply support the idea of counseling being a smart and healthy thing to do, you are invited to participate. The more students that come out for the video the better we will be able to influence others to use counseling services if they need to.
How can you get involved?
When: Thursday, October 25th 6:00pm – 8:30pm
Where: Park School of Communications, Room 138 (basement studio space)
