“Flow with whatever may happen and let your mind be free. Stay centered by accepting and excelling at whatever work you do. This is the ultimate good.”     ~Zhuang Zhou, (389-286 BCE)

The Ithaca College Center for Faculty Excellence invites you to attend its Faculty Wine and Cheese Social, 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, on Wednesday, November 14, in Clark Lounge. This event celebrates the opening of the new Center for Faculty Excellence (CFE), 316 Gannet Center.

Created in response to faculty need and institutional demand, the CFE aims to become the center of IC 20/20, both literally and figuratively. Literally, of course, the CFE provides a venue for faculty to socialize, dialogue, and collaborate, a place where faculty can center on their professional development. Figuratively, however, the CFE has the potential to become the hub of IC 20/20, placing faculty at the center of this transformative campus initiative.

Good food and good conversation generate good ideas. Take a well-earned break from your busy semester and discuss ongoing scholarly and creative projects with old and new friends. The Clark Lounge’s candlelit tables will provide the right atmosphere. Sip red or white wines. Sample Cheddar, Muenster, Roquefort, or Swiss cheese. Learn the latest theories in astrophysics, from the Big Bang to the Big Rip, or explore rare passages of Arthurian romance.

This wine and cheese social is open to all faculty, so please bring your colleagues.
