New for 2013! FLEFF Festivals: Politics and Practices in Creative Industries Mini-Course

Learn about festivals, meet festival guests, immerse in the 16th Annual Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival: enroll in the new FLEFF FESTIVALS: Politics and Practices in Creative Industries course. 

All students enrolled in the mini-course are designated as FLEFF Junior Fellows, with increased access to the festival and guests as well as a festival lanyard identifying them as part of the festival. Enrollment is limited--so register during registration this fall.

If you are a student interested in learning more about how the entertainment industry, the art world, new media, feature film, transnational media, makers, directors, activists, communities,  distributors, exhibitors and many more converge at a festival, then consider enrolling in the new one credit mini course offered by the Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival this Spring.

If you are interested in learning more about the history, economics, and practices of festivals through immersion in a festival, consider enrolling in this new mini-course.

If you are interested in building up your knowledge and experience to apply for a FLEFF internship at a future festival, enrollment in this mini-course will provide an excellent first step, important historical background, and festival experience.

This new festival mini-course, Festivals: Politics and Practices in the Creative Industries, will be launched in Spring 2013 as a Block II mini-course. Dr. Claudia Pederson will teach the course and serve as guide through the Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival. The course is integrated with 2013 FLEFF programming. 

This course is suggested for students with no prior FLEFF experience as interns, students who have an interest in learning more about festivals as a vibrant driver of the creative economy and innovation, and students who prefer an immersion festival experience on the festival theme. The 2013 FLEFF programming theme is MOBILITIES.
