At the Intersection of Femininity and Masculinity: Inclusive Feminism on the Ithaca College Campus

11/27/12

Contributed by Kristy Zhen

Join Created Equal and the Committee for Inclusive Education in this campus-wide event to address inclusive feminism. All students and student organizations are invited to participate in panel and discussion.

Thursday November 29, 2012, 8 - 10 p.m. | Center for Natural Sciences Room 112

We will start off with a panel with one representative from each student organization to share their group definition of feminism, and then break off into groups to have discussions. We ask that all individuals come prepared with their own definitions to share during small group discussion.

Our goal is to compile these definitions to create a document of some sort that addresses the need for Feminism on this campus.

We are inviting a large array of organizations to participate in this event:
RHA: Residence Halls Association
ICHR: Ithaca College Human Rights
International Club
Spit That
Ithaca College Islamic Society
Buddhist Society
IC Democrats
IC Republicans
IC More Than Me
SAFER: Students Active For Ending Rape
Caribbean Students Association
Spectrum
B4B: Brother for Brother
Prism
Asian American Alliance
S2S: Sister to Sister
African Latino Society
IC Feminists
PODER: Latino Student Association
IC Vox: Voices for Planned Parenthood

If your organization is not on the list and you would like to participate on the panel, please email kzhen1@ithaca.edu. If you are not part of any of these organizations you are most definitely STILL welcome to come and participate.

Thursday, November 29th at 8:00 PM in CNS 112. Food will be served at 7:30

PLEASE BRING YOUR FRIENDS, YOUR ORGANIZATION, AND YOUR OPEN MIND.
