Active Minds will be hosting a presentation and discussion about the role of the media in shaping our perception of mental health.
We'll be exploring questions such as:
* In what ways are the current portrayals of mental health issues in television, film, and news harmful?
*How can the media be an ally in our mission of ending the stigma that surrounds mental health issues?
* How can consumers of media be literate and educated in interpreting content related to mental health?
This event is relevant to all current and future makers of media and anyone with an interest in mental health awareness, so we hope to see you there!
