The following is sent on behalf of Dr. Margaret Arnold:
It is my pleasure to announce that Dr. Sally Neal has been chosen to direct the new academic advising center and will begin her duties at Ithaca College on Monday, February 4, 2013. Dr. Neal currently serves as the Director of the ACE IT Center at Western Wyoming Community College. The ACT IT Center provides a one-stop shopping experience for students in the areas of academic advising, career services, employment services, internships, and transfer student services. Prior to serving in this capacity, Dr. Neal was the Dean’s Designee in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Connecticut where she held the positions of Coordinator of Orientation and Transfer Advisor. In 2008 Dr. Neal received the “Advisor of the Year” award at the University of Connecticut. “I am so pleased that Dr, Neal will be joining the Ithaca College community this spring. Her commitment to serving students will serve us well as we launch the new advising center,” said Marisa Kelly, Provost.
“I am extremely eager to begin developing the new academic advising center at Ithaca College. I look forward to working with students, faculty, staff, and administrators as we use our collective resources to enhance existing student-centered services,” said Dr. Neal.
Dr. Neal, who will report to Associate Provost Carol Henderson, also will oversee Academic Enrichment Services, Student Disability Services, and the Office of State Grants.
