Nigerian-American author Teju Cole's novel Open City was named one of the best books of 2011 by Time Magazine, the New Yorker, Newsweek, the Atlantic, and the New York Times.
Cecilia Vicuña is a poet, visual artist, and filmmaker from Chile. The author of twenty books of poetry and the co-editor of The Oxford Book of Latin American Poetry, her work deals with improvisatory oral performance and interactions between language, textiles, and the environment.
Wayne Koestenbaum has published fifteen books of essays, criticism, and poetry including the acclaimed work The Queen's Throat: Opera, Homosexuality, and the Mystery of Desire, which was nominated for a National Book Critics Circle Award.
