Whalen Symposium Submission Deadline and Request for Volunteers

The 16th Annual Whalen Symposium will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2013 and the deadline for faculty to sponsor a presenter's proposal submission is Monday, February 25, 2013. 

Proposals are being accepted for oral presentations or display posters on research completed by students.  Musical or other creative presentations are also encouraged. 

 

The symposium is a fantastic opportunity for students to share their work with their peers, gain an experience that helps prepare them for their futures, and highlight the excellence that exists among the five schools.

We are looking for faculty volunteers to moderate one-half hour sessions at the Symposium.

In addition, we are looking for faculty who are interested in reviewing abstracts for a competitive award. Abstracts for review will be emailed to you.  Once reviewed, your recommended abstracts will then go to the Awards Subcommittee for approval.

9:25 – 10:40 – Sessions 1 and 2
10:50 – 12:05 – Sessions 3 and 4
12:05 – 1:10 – Session 5
1:10 – 2:25 – Sessions 6 and 7
2:35 – 3:50 – Sessions 8 and 9
3:50 – 4:50 – Closing Reception/Awards
